what a wonderfull life

well, I am pretty sure it has been ages since my last update.
Sorry people, have no new pictures yet. All good things...come slow. Nah, thats not right, some good things come slow.
Anyway, to keep you all updated.
I started my new job a week ago! And I sure love it.
I work with people who have addictions. They are in our organization to get rid off their addiction ofcourse and they get therapy for all the issues that come with it or that caused it. The part of the organization where I work, takes care of people who just got in, and still use medication to be able to live without their drug or alcohol.
It is tough for them because they live in an what we call closed organization. (doors closed, no leave without permission and at first no leave at all unless with a social worker) I think it is a good program we work with. And most important of all, it is a Jesus based organization.
I see a lot of broken and damaged people, I will be and already have been in some situation that are physical dangerous because of agressive clients. But I sure do love the job.
God is doing a great work in those who call upon Him. And that is an awesome thing to see.
Next week we we all go to Switzerland (to the mountains) for a work camp/week. We will go on survival for two days and most of all, we will go after God alltogether. I think it is going to be an awesome week.

My big brother :)

Finally finally I have a picture of my younger, but big brother :) I love him very much, like all me other brothers and sisters. For the Americans...he wears wooden shoes. But he told me he wears to different ones because he drove over them with his van..oops!

Paintball with da girlz!

Toooooday! we played paintball with da girlz! It was a blast! Look up for the pic where my mission was to shoot the president with paint.... but where was she? And why are there bullets flying around my ears? After I got rid of the bodygoard....it became a little scary.. and than I ran out of bullets. I would be such a bad soldier.

After playing paintball we went out for dinner. I was exhausted and still have some bruises. Sweet memories :)

Well, as I promised, here are some dutch pics. I was traveling by train (last picture) when I saw this beautiful sunset. Too bad the window of the train was so dirthy... anyway, just enjoy. And for the people that don't know.... the first picture is a windmill.

I was lucky today, we are babysitting Eva, my niece. Who I ofcourse missed a lot when I was in the states. So today we went to feed the ducks. Although Eva was very interested in the bread herself too. (the pictures are made in the village my parents live, I am raised there) Do I have to explain something about the temperature outside or do you think it is clear? :) coooollll.

Back in The Netherlands

Canada avonturen

Eindelijk heb ik dan wireless high speed internet verbinding en kan ik mijn foto's van mijn avonturen in Canada op mijn blog zetten. Ik zit nu op Boston Airport. Mijn vliegtuig heeft vertraging en daardoor ga ik mijn laatste vlucht ook missen. Nachtje hotel dus. In ieder geval, hier foto's :)

En nog eens zwemmen, dit keer in Magic Mountain :) Met mijn zus, neven en nichten en vriendinnen :)
Dit is Richtje, mijn nichtje :) Ze is gek op klimmen, rennen, babbelen en op Harold, Jojo, Douwe (neven), op haar Oom, en op haar Heiti & memmie.

En dit is Marten, mijn neefje:) Hij is gek op meisjes ookal zegt hij dat ze stom zijn :) Hij vind Case International de beste trekkers en John Deere komt op de tweede plaats vind hij.

Raften met mijn zus, en neven uit Canada. De golven waren 4 meter hoog en het ging er nogal ruig aan toe. GAAAFFFF!

Tjah, hier waren we nog droog.

Ik probeerde op een fair in Brookfield, Canada, een prijs te winnen....

Oops... niet gelukt dus.

My visit at Nova Scotia, Canada.

Hey there, As you can see I am not in Pensacola these weeks. I am visiting my aunts, uncles and cousins who live in Nova Scotia Canada. This is Tine, my cousin. I think you can see that. A lot of people here think we are sisters or think I am Tine and Tine is me. It is fun. A man came by the house asking for my father. He was thinking I was Tine also. I told him my father is in town but will be back in about an hour. It was very funny. Afterwards Tine and I walked out of the house together. The man looked a little confused. I wonder why.... :)
I have lots and lots of pictures of this visit already but through slow internet connection you all have to wait a little while till I have a fast connection again. Just uploading pictures takes a little while you know :)

4th of July

Vandaag is nouwhjah, was het 4 july. De verjaardag van Amerika. Amerika is nu 331 jaar jong. Dat wordt gevierd met een enorm vuurwerk festijn. Dat wilde ik dan wel eens even zien. Samen met een paar vriendinnen hebben we een plaatsje weten te bemachtigen, we hadden geen idee dat we zo dichtbij het vuurwerk zouden zitten. Klik op de foto's om ze groter te zien en zie een klein schimmetje van wat ik zag. Ik vond het een ontzettend goede vuurwerkshow. Het duurde ongeveer een half uur. Maar daarna heb je dan ook wel een stijve nek.

Maak kennis met leaping Lizard, een van mijn huisdieren, die hier overal rondkruipen. Deze keer had ie me wel door, hij zat me flink in de gaten te houden.

vandaag ben ik afgemaakt in de tube achter de boot. Je houd je dan vast aan een opblaasbare rubberband die getrokken wordt door een boot. En dat gaat niet langzaam! Ik ben langer blijven hangen dan ze verwachtten. gnagna! Maar toen ik dan ook over de kop ging, wist ik onder water niet meer wat boven of onder was. Daarna even lekker uitgerust op de boot en van het mooie uitzicht genoten. Geniet maar mee.

Arwen vond tubing niet zo leuk. Toen ze met haar vader in de tube zat wilde ze er alleen maar heel snel weer uit, ze wilde niet varen. Dus bij Hilda op schoot even bijkomen van de schrik.

Julie, is Arwen's mama en mijn vriendin. Ze is nu zwanger van haar vierde kindje.

God maakt geen rotzooi, dat blijkt wel weer.
